Hospital Bag Check List

Well with being home in quarantine, I am FINALLY getting around to sharing our hospital bag checklist and telling you about some of our learnings.

The whole process of getting ready was very strange to me. I had our hospital bag ready to go WEEKS before I actually delivered. I had talked to a few different friends and researched what to pack in our bag, and what I found is that most people are consistent in what they recommend.

We decided to use a rolling suitcase for all of my things, and then my favorite utility tote to carry everything else (ie, Romy’s things and baby gifts people brought to the hospital).

For our fresh 48 shoot, I actually found a fresh 48 image on Pinterest that I mocked our shoot after (style, wardrobe, etc). This helped bring my vision to life with our photographer and I LOVED the way they turned out.

  • Pro-tip: I curled my hair and had a full face of makeup during delivery, so I would like how my pictures turned out. Also, this allowed me to just put some dry shampoo and a few curls in my hair for our fresh 48 photos.

I have broken down my actual list of everything I brought and I had categorized, what I used and didn’t use and what else we should have packed. Now of course, even though I didn’t use them, it doesn’t me you won’t.
