Throwback Thursday!
I can’t believe I have waited THIS long to share our Murder Mystery Party we hosted back in April in honor of paying off our student loan debt.
I know, it may sound counterintuitive, throwing a large party after paying off debt, but this was a must for my husband. You see, being student loan debt free has been a HUGE goal of our’s for the past few years (this combined both our undergrad student debt as well as Romy’s MBA student debt). With this being such a huge milestone for us, we wanted to celebrate with our closest friends and family the best way we knew how, a old Hollywood Murder Mystery Party at a historic mansion.
We hosted the party Charles Allis Art Museum downtown Milwaukee and hired a team of actors from the Murder Mystery Company to facilitate the game. The museum combined with the actors, and our guests’ enthusiasm to take partake in the game and theme, made for an unforgettable night. To top it off, we made a very special announcement to all of our friends and family that we were not only student loan debt free, but expecting our first child in November. I loved that we could share our news with so many of our favorite people in person.
This photo I will treasure forever! Me and my two sisters-in-laws, all of us pregnant with our first babies!
