I recently heard the term “Multi Passionate Entrepreneur” and it instantly gave me all the feels. I have always been a person that has had MANY passions; I love marketing, crafting, music, philanthropy work, decorating, baking, running, cooking, shopping, spending time outdoors, Pilates, and the list goes on and on. It is really interesting that we are taught that success normally comes only at that professional level, but I am done thinking that way. I want to be successful in not only my professional life, but in all my passions. One of my great passions, I am excited to share with you is Pilates.
I started attending Club Pilates classes through a Groupon with a couple of girlfriends, not really expecting much. That was 4 years ago, and Pilates has truly changed my life for the better. Going through a couple of job changes, a new house, a new ACL, fertility issues; Pilates has trained not only my body, but my mind, plus I have an amazing community of people that truly support me.
To quote Joesph Pilates, Pilates’ Return to Life Through Contrology “Remember, too, that ‘Rome was not built in a day,’ and that PATIENCE and PERSISTENCE are vital qualities in the ultimate successful accomplishment of any worthwhile endeavor.” Joseph Pilates was a man years ahead of his time, creating the exercises along with the apparatus.
One of them being the reformer, which originally drew me to Pilates (as I feel like it does for many). The machine is very dramatic in its nature and offers a wide variety of workouts. Even through it may look very dramatic, the mechanics behind the machine are pretty simple. A bed-like frame with a platform on it (the carriage), which rolls back and forth on wheels. The carriage is attached on one end of the reformer by a set of springs, which provide different levels of resistance as the carriage is pushed or pulled along the frame.
Now, when I first started researching reformer Pilates classes, I instantly noticed the price. I am a price conscious person, and Club Pilates Mequon offers group reformer classes, which lessens the price per class, while still providing a high quality workout. Plus, Club Pilates Mequon is more than just Reformers, they also teach classes using TRX, Barre, Exo-Chair, Bosu ball, mats, rollers, and more.
