Hi! I am new here!

I can’t believe I’m finally writing this, the first post for my new blog, Darboy Kate. My friends and family have been encouraging me to start a blog for many years, and although I’ve always secretly wanted to pursue blogging, I’ve always held myself back. The inner dialogue went something along the lines of, “I’m a business professional and people don’t have a career in blogging.” For some reason I had this preconceived idea that in order to be successful I needed to work for a large company, work my way up, get a fancy title, and manage a team.

Maybe this idea of success came from the way I was raised or the people I surround myself with, but whatever the reason, I finally decided to take that leap of faith and put myself out there; welcome to Darboy Kate, a collection of my all my favorite things that have shaped and made me the person I am. Maybe some things are strange to you, but to me this is my joy in my corner of the internet. So, sit back, relax and I hope you are inspired to be the person you want to be.
